Saw A National Award winning film, Memories In March
Very nice film.
The film is largely set as an interaction between a grieving mother (Deepti Naval), who is trying to come to terms with the death of her grown up son, and his colleague (Rituparno Ghosh) they both were lovers & gay.
In one scene Ritu Da asks Deepti Naval "Which of the two is more unacceptable to you -- that Siddharth is dead, or that he was gay?"
Very different film for indian cinema.
Deepti Naval was simply brilliant natural gives a very human & raw performance.
Raima Sen was good too she had crush on deepti's son.
Rituparno Ghosh who is acclaimed director give a good account of himself as an actor too.
He gave a very mature sensitive heartfelt real performance.
His scenes with deepti naval are highlights of the film.
Movie is trilingual its hindi english bengali thats why its so relatable & real.
Must Watch Film For Lovers Of Different Kind Of Cinema.
